In today's class, we were supposed to work on the repertoire scenes, but couldn't do as planned, because Desiree and Matilda were missing. Instead, we watched the Shelter group perform their scene. Then Sam, Blue, Ashlie and I performed what we had of our 'A Night on the Mountain' scene. And then the other groups explained what there's were about. The characters in our scene are slowly being developed.

In todays class we had a double lesson. We usually like plan what were going to do at the beggining of the lesson and for the first lesson since all of the Shelter people were present, we decided to rehearse shelter. We were debating whether we could perform it on monday, but people had there doubts on whether we would be ready. But we practised it anyway. We seem to know the beginning better than anything else and some two people parts needed alot of help with.. but we had time to practise. In shelter we are really getting good and we are learning alot from our mistakes and learning how to experiment with are characters. Like i have to be more flirtacious and patrick needs to earn respect and meg has to just ignore everyone. In the second lesson we worked on the night on the mountain scene and read out our so far script to the class and the other groups told us what they were going to do theres on, and we got a brief idea what everyone was doing, everything is really developing! :) xx

  3. In todays lesson we performed shelter. i think that the beginning is very strong, we all know our lines and have established our characters purpose in the scene. It was obvious we needed to practice more on the middle and ending. i found it really helpful when we split up, me and Blue were able to work out how we would perform our duologue together, and patrick and Denis got their lines down too! so hopefully it should be a really good outcome!

I looked at my work from last year and found i had written about Nikki (my character) it was VERY helpful because i had wrote her purpose within the scene, and how i should re-act to other characters. i had also come up with her background information and her moods. This will help me establish and understand her character a lot better now!

Afterwards we showed each other our "night on the mountain" scenes. i got a good idea of where everyones scene was heading! i will explain to Denis in depth what our scene is about, as i didn't have the chance to today! Ours will be very interesting, it is the first time we have gone comical (if that made sense)

I am most definately looking forward to seeing the outcome of our projects :D
