My Coursework (I think)!

Those eight students taking the IGCSE Drama exam, please answer the following.

1. What monologue, so far, do you think is your strongest?

2. Might you want to make a new monologue recording? What monologue?

3. What group scene, so far, that you have written do you think is your strongest? (This cannot be from one of the exam stimuli.)

4. Might you want to make a new devised scene (one that you have written) recording? What scene? With whom? (This cannot be from one of the exam stimuli.)

5. What group scene, so far, from the repertoire of dramatic literature (someone's published script) do you think is your strongest?

6. Might you want to make a new repertoire scene recording? What scene? With whom? (This cannot be from one of the exam stimuli.)

  1. 1. I think my strongest is my Documentary monologue of my brother.

    2. There is always room for improvement, so if it is really necessary i will redo the one i devised myself, and my brothers.

    3. I cant really remember, but i think the Picture Scene with Ashlie and Izzy

    4. I think i might need to have another group scene that is a repertoire scene, so i'll probably to the scene with Aatilda and Ashlie in the Queen must Die

5.I reallly cant remember any of my group pieces being good so i have no idea.

6.The Queen must die, and anything else that would help my coursework.

  2. 1. my strongest monologue is the documentary one on blue.

    2. i would definately re-do the recording of the documentary one since there could be improvement.

    3. i think A night on the mountain is the strongest one so far as everyone is set and ready.

4.i think i would either want to massively improve the picture scene with Ema or start fresh with some-else perhaps with blue as i haven't experienced working with her yet.

5.My strongest is Much Ado About Nothing with Matilda.

    6. The Queen Must Die would be fairly easy as two people already have their lines down!

  3. Rebecca:

    1. My strongest one is the picture scene we did at the very beginning of the year, the one we had to create on our own.

    2. Most defiantly "night on a mountain" because it has a lot of potential and we finally know our lines :)

    3. My strongest one would be "night on the mountain" though i do think "All the worlds a stage" will most probably be my favorite one after we complete the piece

    4. I would like to experience working with someone i haven't worked with in the class yet and start a new production.

    5. Definitely 'Much Ado About Nothing' with Ashlie :)

    6. Anything that will improve my coursework !!

    1. I actually have no idea. But I think it would be the picture one, but I'm not sure.

    2. Inprovement is always needed as Blue said. I think so. I'm thinking about re-doing both of them after easter and maybe find another one to do (a new one).

    3. My picture scene with Matilda I think.

    4. I don't know.

    5. I do not have a feeling about any of them being good.

    6. I would like to do 'The Queen Must Die' with Ashlie and Matilda after easter holidays. And this would give me something more for my course work, which is needed!

  6. 1. I think that my documentary monologue is the best one and is a very strong scene.

    2. I want to be able to re-film it as I couldn't quite remember my lines the last time I did it.

    3. My picture scene with Blue and Ashlie will probably be my strongest.

    4. I'm not really sure.

    5. The Much Ado About Nothing scene with Sam.

    6. I want to do the Queen Must Die scene with Matilda and Ashlie after the holidays.

  7. 1. I think my strongest monologue is the first picture scene that we had to do in the beginning of the year.

    2. Like almost everyone else has said, theres always need for improvement. I would consider re-doing it but i also have another one in mind of the whole bunch u sent us to try recording.

3.Um written group work? I dont have much I dont think so I'll have to go with the picture scene.

    4. Well i think writing one now would take too long, but if i need to than i guess it can be done

    5. If this includes Queen Must die than I would say that one, if not than I would say Hamlet, even though the scenes didnt go particularly well i had a pretty good part in that one.

    6. I would like to maybe try redoing the Much Ado scene with maybe Megan, I wish we could do Hamlet but I know that one prob wont get very far because we've all probably forgotten our lines. But i think im good with my Queen Must die.

  8. The best way to submit to the blog is to compose what you are writing using word processing software (like Word), saving frequently, and copy-pasting into the blog only when you have finished. Writing anything longer than a couple of sentences in a field like the blog comment box is always a bad idea. If you are doing the writing somewhere else, you can be sure of not losing it a sixth time. Take a deep breath and please answer the questions again. The purpose of this exercise is not locking anyone into any of these scenes. It is just about actively thinking about the range of work you have done and about considering what else may be done.
